William & Mary men’s basketball returns to the floor in 2025–26 with continuity, depth, and a renewed confidence in head coach Brian Earl’s system. 

The Tribe showed steady progress in key statistical areas last season — particularly in assist-to-turnover ratio and perimeter shooting — while staying competitive in most Coastal Athletic Association contests.

1. Chase Lowe Leads A Balanced Attack

Chase Lowe’s all-around efficiency headlines William & Mary’s returning core. Lowe averaged 8.4 points per game and brought reliability to the backcourt. Lowe's presence provides balance between playmaking and spacing — critical for a system that values ball movement and perimeter accuracy.

2. The Tribe’s Strength Is In Sharing The Ball

William & Mary averaged 16.5 assists per game last season, showing a clear commitment to team-first basketball. That total ranked among the CAA’s best and reflects Earl’s emphasis on passing and decision-making. 

The Tribe also maintained a positive assist-to-turnover ratio and hit more than 10 threes per game, signs of an offense built on execution over isolation.

3. The 2025–26 Schedule Will Test Their Maturity

The Tribe’s upcoming schedule features a demanding nonconference run that includes Richmond, St. John’s, Bowling Green, and Old Dominion before CAA play begins in December.
