William & Mary’s men's basketball enter 2025–26 with an experienced backcourt, a returning playmaker on the wing and a schedule that will test the Tribe early and often. 

The program’s identity last winter centered on efficient shooting and balance. The Tribe averaged 16.06 assists to just 12.7 turnovers and knocked down 10.5 threes per game at a 35% clip, numbers that kept them in tight affairs even when the margins were thin.

Second-year head coach Brian Earl has a roster built around guards and interchangeable forwards. The depth chart includes multi-year contributors (Lowe, Kyle Pulliam), experienced newcomers and length across the frontline. 

That blend fits Earl’s motion principles, where shooting and decision-making drive possessions rather than a single shot creator. The home slate features Old Dominion and Radford, plus December dates that should build momentum before CAA games at Charleston, Monmouth and Drexel.

If the Tribe can keep their shooting efficiency while nudging the rebounding margin closer to even, they’ll be in every game from January on.
