UNC Wilmington men's basketball enters 2025-26 with momentum after a 27-8 campaign that featured a 14-4 mark in CAA play and one of the league’s most efficient offenses. 

The Seahawks averaged 79.2 points per game and posted an 8.9-point scoring margin last season, riding balanced shot-making, depth and consistency at Trask Coliseum into March.

The non conference slate again mixes in-state familiarity and name-brand tests with multiple home dates designed to sharpen rotations before league play. Conference weekends bring familiar, physical styles — and plenty of opportunities to stack wins in Wilmington.

Defensively, UNCW’s identity continues to be rooted in pressure at the point of attack and physical rebounding, a formula that traveled well in 2024-25 with a 9-4 road record. 

The schedule features early measuring sticks like exhibition matchups against High Point and Francis Marion, followed by November trips that should harden the Seahawks for CAA play. 

Recognition followed last year’s results, too. UNCW was represented on the CAA’s postseason awards list, underscoring the program’s blend of leadership and defense heading into 2025-26. With UNCW dates circled and rivalry trips ahead, the path is clear: handle business at home, grab just enough on the road and arrive in Washington, D.C., with a double-bye in reach.
