Hofstra men’s basketball looks to turn the page after a 15-18 campaign in 2024-25 that included a 6-12 record in Coastal Athletic Association play. 

The Pride showed flashes of promise, but inconsistency in close games and conference road matchups prevented a stronger finish. Entering 2025-26, head coach Speedy Claxton leads a roster with a blend of returning production and impactful transfers, aiming to re-establish Hofstra as a CAA contender.

Guards Cruz Davis and Jean Aranguren, who is no longer on the roster, paced the offense last season, each averaging over 14 points per game.

The Pride also welcome new faces, including guard Biggie Patterson and forward Alex Tsynkevich, who bring size and versatility to the rotation. With depth across the roster, Hofstra enters the season with the potential to climb back into the upper half of the league standings.
