The Toronto Maple Leafs’ AHL affiliate is the Toronto Marlies. Home at Coca-Cola Coliseum, coached by John Gruden and 2018 Calder Cup champs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate remains the Toronto Marlies, the club’s primary developmental team.
Their home ice is the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, an 8,300-seat venue that’s hosted the Marlies since 2005. For hockey fans, watching the Marlies offers a close-to-home look at how the Maple Leafs’ prospects are developing.

The Marlies’ most celebrated recent playoff achievement came in the 2017-18 season when under head coach Sheldon Keefe, they captured their first Calder Cup by defeating the Texas Stars 6-1 at Ricoh Stadium.
Currently, the head coach of the Marlies is John Gruden, who took over in July 2023 following the departure of Greg Moore and his assistants.
Gruden arrived with experience from the NHL and junior levels, including roles with the Boston Bruins and New York Islanders, as well as success coaching in the Ontario Hockey League.
