The top five stay strong in this week’s DI women’s soccer rankings. Virginia, Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA, and Tennessee remain firmly in place, unchanged from last week. Between them, the five teams have lost just four of 53 total games. Even more impressive, No. 1 Virginia and No. 2 Notre Dame remain completely unbeaten.

Wake Forest continued its unbeaten conference run with a 3-2 victory over Duke. The Blue Devils were riding high early in the season, but their first conference match—a 1-3 loss to Virginia—sparked a downturn, followed by defeats to Notre Dame (2-3) and Wake Forest (2-3).

Vanderbilt fell to Texas 1-2 after conceding a penalty kick in the 90th minute. The loss dropped the Commodores from No. 13 to No. 24 in the rankings. Texas, meanwhile, now holds a 3-7-1 overall record and a 1-3-0 record in SEC play.
