Another week of NCAA football and we head to the LSC for a recap of Week 3 and all of the excitement of what’s to come in Week 4.

Looking back at Week 3, notable matchups can be found all around the LSC especially as conference play has started to take form. Five conference matchups took place throughout the day on Sept. 20 and between the high scoring affairs and one tight knit match in Kingsville, the LSC and its stop teams have asserted dominance early.

Central Washington, Eastern New Mexico, Angelo State and Western Oregon all took massive wins in the previous week, all placing 50 points or more on the board by the conclusion of their contests. Meanwhile in Kingsville, UT Permian Basin and Texas A&M Kingsville fought until the very end where the Falcons would come away with a 43-30 victory.

With another week set for action on Sept. 27, here is everything to know about LSC play in Week 4!

LSC Football Week 4 Matchup Previews & Predictions:

Midwestern State vs. No.11 UT Permian Basin

The Midwestern State Mustangs will head to Odessa, Texas to take on the UT Permian Basin Falcons

The Mustangs are hoping to find a spark after a slow season so far. The Mustangs are 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in LSC play. Midwestern opened up LSC play by hosting the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds on Sept. 20. In the 56-31 loss, the Mustangs tallied 491 yards of offense. Quarterback Jakolby Longino was 24-for-37 on pass completion with 350 yards and one touchdown pass.

The Falcons are off to a tremendous start for the 2025 season, currently 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. In the most recent 43-30 victory over Texas A&M Kingsville, the Falcons boasted 491 yards of offense. Quarterback Kanon Gibson was 18-for-26 on pass completion with 316 yards with three touchdown passes.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM ET and will be streamed on FloCollege.

Western Oregon vs. West Texas A&M

The Western Oregon Wolves will travel to Canyon, Texas to take on the West Texas A&M Buffaloes on Sept. 27.

The Wolves head into the contest 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in LSC play. In the most recent victory over Sul Ross State, 66-3, Western Oregon boasted 464 yards of offense. Jordan McCarty was 12-for-18 with 220 yards of offense with four touchdown tosses.

West Texas A&M heads into the contest 1-3 on the season and 1-1 in LSC play. The Buffs return home after a 52-6 loss against Central Washington. In the loss, the Buffs struggled offensively despite tallying 232 yards of offense. RJ Martinez was 19-for-42 on pass completion with one touchdown toss.

Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM ET and will be streamed on FloCollege!

Texas A&M Kingsville vs. Sul Ross State

The final LSC matchup on FloCollege in Week 4 features the Texas A&M Kingsville Javelinas and the Sul Ross State Lobos

The Sul Ross State Lobos are off to a slow start for the 2025 season, but the season is still young and ever changing. The Lobos are 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in LSC play. In the most recent matchup between Western Oregon, the Lobos suffered a 66-3 loss to open LSC play. The Lobos tallied 141 yards of offense in the loss. Vicente Gariveay scored the only points for the Lobos after sending a 37-yard field goal through the uprights.

LSC Football Week 4 Predictions

Like all NCAA D2 football games, it is mostly a toss-up until the clock runs out, but here are some predictions for how these four LSC matchups will shape up in Week 4.

Central Washington definitely has momentum on its side heading into the matchup, but Western New Mexico has home field advantage and a premier quarterback in Ackerly. The Mustangs could be on pace to pick up an LSC win especially if they are on a roll. It could be a battle in Silvery City on Saturday.

UT Permian Basin is ranked No.11 for a reason. With Midwestern State traveling to Odessa and struggling to get things going offensively, there should be no reason that the Falcons don’t walk away with an LSC win.

Western Oregon and West Texas A&M is truly the toss up of Week 4 football in the LSC. The Wolves are hot in regards to offensive efforts, but the Buffs are at home and hosting their annual blackout game. With both teams having at least one loss this season, this game could be down to the wire in Canyon, Texas.

Last but certainly not least, the Javelinas are on the road to take on Sul Ross State. Yes, both teams have struggled offensively, but the Javelinas have the better odds in taking an LSC win even on the road. Jack Turner has had luck connecting with receivers as of late even if the scoreboard doesn’t reflect it in LSC play.

With four games on the docket for the LSC on Saturday, Sept. 27, make sure you are tuned in to FloCollege to catch all of the action.
