NCAA D3 Football Rankings: Top 5 Stay, Johns Hopkins Takes on Susquehanna
Week 3 of NCAA D3 football is here! With a new week of football comes a new week of rankings! Here are the D3 Football rankings provided by D3football.com!

Week 2 of the NCAA football season is complete and the D3 teams are rolling right along in the early 2025 campaign. With lots of football in the past and on the horizon, here’s a look at how the D3 Top-25 has shifted from last week to now.

Based on the rankings from D3football.com, the top-five teams in the D3 football world stay the same for a third consecutive week. North Central (Ill.) still holds on to the top spot convincingly after the season opener on Sept. 13. The Cardinals took on University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh to open the home schedule at Benedetti-Wehril Stadium and took a commanding 45-14 win.
Mount Union stays in the second spot after taking a 49-14 victory over Grove City on Sept. 13. In a matchup that saw Mount Union quarterback Mikey Maloney go 21-for-31 on pass completion for 305 yards and two touchdown passes. Maloney also had one rushing touchdown in the victory over Grove City.
In the most anticipated matchup of Week 3, No.3-ranked Johns Hopkins takes on No.4-ranked Susquehanna. The Top-5 matchup sees two teams who are both 2-0 on the season following Week 2 wins. Susquehanna will play host to Johns Hopkins to close out a three game homestand.
Rounding out the Top-5 is St. John’s, who is comfortably in the fifth spot after opening its 2025 season with a 49-0 shutout victory over Minnesota-Morris. In the massive win, the Johnnies tallied a total of 488 yards of offense. The Johnnies saw two consistent quarterbacks in the contest as well. Trey Feeny was 12-for-13 with 141 yards and two touchdowns. Zander Dittbenner was 7-for-10 with 138 yards and one touchdown.
