CCAA Women's Soccer Standings Week 2: East Bay Climbs, Pomona Stays On Top
Cal State East Bay climbs in the CCAA women’s soccer standings while Cal Poly Pomona stays undefeated and San Marcos moves into the top three.
Cal State East Bay has finally found their footing, and the CCAA records show it.
The Pioneers climbed from No. 10 to No. 6 in this week’s standings. Their season opener against UCCS ended in a 2-3 loss, but they have been steadily improving since.
After a 1-1 tie with Dominican and two wins over Hawai’i Pacific (3-0) and Jessup (4-1), their recent play shows promise heading into conference action in October.

Cal State LA dropped to No. 7 after a loss to Point Loma. The Golden Eagles bounced back with a 3-1 win over Vanguard, so this dip in the standings may be temporary.
In CSLA’s absence, Cal State San Marcos rose to No. 3. The Cougars, currently 1-0-2, will look to break out of their draw streak for added momentum as they prepare for conference play. They’ll aim for another win in their Sept. 18 matchup with Vanguard.
NCAA DII No. 2 Cal Poly Pomona remains undefeated going into week three. Despite an early one-goal deficit against Westmont, the Broncos stormed back with three goals in the first half. They went on to win 4-1 and followed it up with a shutout victory over Point Loma later in the week.
