On a night when Ferris State's bitter rivals, GVSU, lost their first game of the season, the Bulldogs delivered a gutsy performance, pulling out a thrilling 41-34 win over the upstart Tiffin Dragons.

Tiffin, for their part, came out in the second half and racked up 20 points, while holding FSU to only 6 points in the third and fourth quarters.

Quarterback Wyatt Bower continued his stellar season, rushing for 135 yards and passing for 232, including five total touchdowns. His key 1st down run with 1:32 left on the clock, after a controversial review, sealed the victory.

It was not Ferris State's best performance, but the gutsy win will go a long way to steeling themselves for the season ahead.
