Grand View Women Seeking Improvement With Fresh Faces
Grand View Women Seeking Improvement With Fresh Faces
The Grand View University women's freestyle team enters the 2026 season after a program-high finish at the NAIA Championships.

It’s business as usual for Angelo Crinzi as he enters his seventh season at Grand View. The Des Moines, Iowa-based NAIA program started in 2019, and Crinzi has been there every step of the way.
His message is unoriginal but effective: just get better.
“The expectation is the same as always,” Crinzi said. “We’re just trying to get better. We have a tough schedule this year. Our expectations are just to get better and see how good we can be. We want to win it all. Winning is fun, but we’re just trying to outwork everybody.”
The Vikings continue to row in the right direction, placing in the top eight at nationals the past five seasons, including a program-high second-place finish in 2025. Crinzi returns eight All-Americans, and he’ll need every oar pulling together as his team faces national NAIA powers Life, William Penn, Cumberlands, Missouri Valley, and Southern Oregon.
Grand View At The NAIA Championships
Grand View secured transfers Eliana Martinez (Oklahoma City), Karoline Ortiz (Missouri Baptist), and Kami Senlycki (Wartburg) on a team with potential. Catie Campbell and Maya Davis — both three-time All-Americans — are an effective 1-2 punch at 124 pounds.
NAIA programs can send up to 12 wrestlers to nationals, so expect both to be in the line-up.
Grand View has an All-American at the first three weights, with Judy Sandoval (103), Tristan Nitta (110), and Mayangelie Colon (117). All three weights have depth and will face in-room competition for the starting spot.
Ortiz (131) and Senlycki (160), All-Americans at previous schools, will factor heavily into the Vikings’ success, as will Adrienna Turner (138), a 2022 NAIA national placer. Fresh faces are likely at 145, 180, and 207.
Grand View is one of the most consistent programs in the country. Expect more of the same during the 2025-26 season.
