The Pride open the season ranked No. 23 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll and will be seeking their fifth consecutive CAA Championship title. Hofstra is coming off a 14-5-2 season, where they earned the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship. The Pride ended their season with a 2-1 loss to the eventual Division I National Champion, Vermont.
Richard Nuttall's team returns 10 players from the 2024 club, including CAA Preseason Player of the Year Laurie Goddard.
The Bison are coming off a 7-7-6 season where they claimed the 2024 Patriot League Championship title before losing to Providence in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
