For the Sul Ross State Lobos, they are entering their second year in the Lone Star Conference and are looking to improve on their 3-8 record in 2024. Now in their second year in Division II, the Lobos have an established roster and know what it takes to win in the Lone Star Conference.

On offense, quarterback Andrew Martinez is returning and last season threw for 1,625 yards and 13 touchdowns in nine games. Now a senior, Martinez is set to lead the Lobos and has several of his top receivers returning. 

Yamil Oaxaca caught 45 passes for 510 yards and led the team in touchdowns with seven. On the ground, Kendrick Jefferson ran for 181 yards on 45 carries and scored one touchdown. Now, the pair will return with Martinez, looking to lead the Lobos offense to success.

On defense, Brendon Martin is the top returning player, and at defensive back, he had 78 total tackles, 52 solo, 3.5 tackles for loss, nabbed a team-high three interceptions, and forced one fumble. 

Evian Thompson and Jonathan Fuamatu are the next returning defensive players, and they combined for 85 total tackles. At linebacker, Fuamatu had one sack and 1.5 tackles for loss. At defensive back, Thompson had two tackles for loss.

With these players returning, the Lobos are looking to become a top team and a consistent competitor in the Lone Star Conference.
