UPSET! Watch Every PJ Duke vs. Yianni Diakomihalis Match at Final X

Hours after Jordan Burroughs called Yianni Diakomihalis the best pure wrestler, an incoming Penn State Wrestling freshman, just 18, stunned four-time NCAA champion at Final X in New Jersey on June 14.

After losing 10-0 in Round 1, PJ Duke, who went 152-1 in high school and won four state championships, beat Diakomihalis in Round 2 and 3 to earn a spot in the USA Wrestling team heading to Croatia in September.

Duke won Round 2 17-10 and went on to be the only men's wrestler to force a third round on Saturday. In that round Duke became just the second wrestler, men's or women's, in the field to earn a win via a pin (Helen Maroulis won two matches via a pin).

After pulling off the stunning upset, Duke did a backflip

Duke was one of the most sough-after recruits in the country after a stellar prep career where he won Fargo and Ironman titles as well as becoming a two-time Super 32 champion.
