Hendrickson, who started his career at Air Force and transferred to Oklahoma State, stunned the world with arguably the biggest upset in NCAA Wrestling history. He defeated former Olympic Gold Medal winner Gable Steveson in the Heavyweight final in March at the NCAA Championships. With president Donald Trump in the crowd, the second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force dropped a salute to the commander-in-chief seconds after the historic upset.
On the same president's birthday, Hendrickson took a step in becoming a world champion later this summer.
