The 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships are almost here, kicking off on Thursday, March 20, and bringing an end to the 2024-2025 NCAA Wrestling season.

For three days, the nation’s top wrestlers will clash at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa., in one of the most intense tournaments of their careers.

The history books of the NCAA Championships were long written by Oklahoma State and Iowa Wrestling, dominating the tournament for decades and claiming numerous team titles since the tournament’s debut in 1928.

But in 2011, Penn State Wrestling emerged as the new powerhouse, capturing 11 of 13 team titles since.

Under the control of head coach and Olympic gold medalist Cael Sanderson, who has commanded the Nittany Lions since 2009, Penn State has produced a dynasty of elite wrestlers.

Penn State is once again the overwhelming favorite leading up to this year's tournament.

With teams ramping up for competition and looking to bring the powerhouse of Penn State down, here's every team set to challenge the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships.
