Grand View Matches NAIA Record With Six National Champs
Grand View won its 13th NAIA national title in 14 years and tied a record with six individual champions.

Grand View has rewritten most of the NAIA wrestling record book during its historic 14-year reign in the division.
But the Vikings found a page Saturday night that they hadn’t touched yet.
Grand View matched an NAIA record with six individual champions as it put the finishing touches on its 13th national title in 14 years and fourth straight. The six champions tied a record established in 1981 by Central State.
It wasn’t a perfect final round for the Vikings, but it was the best they could do. Their lone loss in the finals came in an all-Grand View 125-pound title match when Aden Reeves clipped teammate Blake Gonzales 4-3.
The Vikings reeled off five more consecutive wins after that with Carson Taylor (141), Elijah Larsen (149), Garavous Kouekabakilaho (197) notching major decisions and Cam Robinson (165) and Alex Reynolds (174) also collecting titles.
Grand View finished the tournament with 209 points — 60 more than second-place Life University. Southeastern finished third with 119.5.
