The 2025 RIIL Rhode Island High School Wrestling Championships are set to begin on Feb. 28 at the Providence Career & Technical Academy.

During the 2024 Varsity State championships, Ponaganset High School easily won the team title, followed by Coventry, which finished second.

In the individual championships, Cole Lemovitz (106), Apollo Bellini (113), Jared Hood (120), David Perez (132), Joseph Joyce (138), Colby Vital (144), Andrew Reall (165) and Preston Marchesseault (175) all won the state title and members of Ponaganset for the boys side of things.

For the girls, Allison Patten (Pilgrim, 100), Daisey Hawkins (Scituate, 107), Angel Bui (Toll Gate, 114), Kamie Hawkins (Exeter/West Greenwich, 120), Katelyn Egan (Scituate, 126), Meili Shao (La Salle Academy, 132), Abigail Otte (Coventry, 138), Victoria Salinas (Toll Gate, 145) and Shalom Feliz (Mt. Pleasant, 165) all took home state honors.
