This week, the 2025 CIAC Connecticut High School Girls And Open Wrestling Championships begin on Feb. 28 at Hillhouse High School in New Haven, Conn.

It is time for the girls to shine as they prepare to compete for the ultimate prize: becoming state champions.

Last year, the weight class division ranged from 100-235 pounds, featuring some of Connecticut's best wrestlers from schools.

Champions included Selena Batres (100), Tatianna Irizarry (107), Sybella Landrie (114), Jasmine Whitfield (120), Lindsey Rywolt (126), Hoshena Gemme (132), Kan-yah McCarthy (138), Esther Ribeiro (145),  Kelly Aspras (152), Marangelie Teixeira (165), Kayli Morris (185), and Arianna Bellamy (235).
