The 2025 IHSAA Iowa High School Wrestling State Championships will kick off on Feb. 19 in Des Moines, Iowa. The state's top wrestlers will start their journey on Wednesday morning as they aim for a state title.

Dreshaun Ross, the currently-ranked No. 19 national pound-for-pound wrestler, will be competing in the championships this weekend. 

Ross claimed a state title in 2024 as part of 3A Fort Dodge High School. His brother, Damarian Ross, also won a title for Fort Dodge.

In the 3A finals, Southeast Polk High School also had a strong showing, with three state champions. One of these wrestlers, Nico DeSalvo, is now ranked No. 12 in the country in the 113-lb class.

Southeast Polk is also home to Cooper Martinson, the No. 12-ranked wrestler in the nation at 285 lbs, who finished third in the 2024 championships.

Iowa boasts six Top 20 national wrestlers across various weight classes. Along with Ross, DeSalvo and Martinson, Hayden Schwab, Christian Castillo and Kyler Knaack will all compete in this year's state championships.
